Eryrys Gardening Club held its first meeting in August 2002. The club meet on the last Thursday of each month at 7pm.
Meetings take place in Canolfan Dewi Sant/ St David’s Centre in Eryrys. Between September and April, the club is entertained by speakers on various topics. A Christmas Wreath Workshop is held on the 2nd Saturday of December; this year it will be on Saturday 6th December 2025, 1pm-3.30pm.
In January, a social meal at The Sun Inn, Eryrys of ‘fish & chips’ is arranged, everyone and partners are most welcomed; ‘Look forward to seeing you’.
During the summer months – May, June, July and August – we try to arrange visits to gardens and places of interest sometimes by appointment, most of which open for the National Garden Scheme. In June there is a Plant Sale to raise funds for the Club, members donate surplus plants or grow them especially for the Club.
The only other income for the club comes from the £3 entrance fee paid to attend each meeting.
If you are interested in gardening, then do feel free to come along to one of the meetings. No Membership fees – just come for a chat and a cuppa! We are all learners!
