Conservation Society Membership
As the name implies, the Society is based on the local area surrounding Llanarmon-yn-Ial, and draws its membership from the villages of Llanarmon, Eryrys, Maeshafn, Graianrhyd, and Llandegla. Some members who have moved away from the area have kept up their membership, and, occasionally visitors to the area have joined. There are currently 180 members. The Society is run by a committee of 7, of which the Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary, and Treasurer. Are elected at the AGM. Other posts are decided within the committee.
Membership costs £5.00 a year, and includes free attendance at most talks and visits organised by the Society, and free delivery of 6 issues of an 8 page colour newsletter. Those who have been members continuously for 25 years are proposed at an AGM for election as life members.
Joining is very straightforward. All that is required is that you attend one of the Society's events, advertised on this site and make yourself known to one of the committee members present. Alternatively, newcomers to the area may be given a welcome pack, and an invitation to join. This system is, however, not infallible as the Committee are not always aware of newcomers to the area. Please do not be offended if you do not receive the introductory pack.

Looking across limestone pavement towards the Clwydians. Breathtaking scenery typical of our Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
