CANOLFAN DEWI SANT is the name given to the Church in Eryrys which is now run as a Community Centre.

The building has been renovated and modernised to a very high standard, with a spendid and spacious floor area, with removable seating and a small stage. The kitchen is fitted out with microwave, fridge and urn. Upstairs there is a meeting room with all the facilities you would need to hold a meeting, or run a small course.

Canolfan Dewi Sant is used for a variety of Community-based activities:

GARDENING CLUB

If you have a garden, you may like to join Gardening Club that meets every 3rd Wednesday at 7.30pm. The charge is £2 and includes tea/coffee, and biscuits.
During the summer, we visit gardens in The Open Garden Scheme. The rest of the year there are speakers on various topics. We pay their fees with money made at the Plant Sale in June. There are also Hanging- Basket, Christmas-Wreath and Willow-Weaving Workshops.

YOGA

A long running class is held on Fridays from 2 till 3. The tutor, Joanne Williams, is an experienced fitness expert. Although we’ve been exercising for several years, beginners are most welcome. You work at your own pace, building up strength and flexibility. Loose clothing and a mat are required. Cost is £4.50 per session.

CHOIR

Cor Dewi Sant meet weekly on a Monday or Tuesday from 7.30 –9.00pm. It’s great fun and NO you don’t have to be able to sing.
Ruth Evans is our Choir Mistress and she makes learning to sing so enjoyable. There’s no audition; come along and try it. We sing in Latin, Welsh, Gaelic, Zulu and English.
