Bonfire
The members of the Llanarmon-yn-Ial Bonfire Comittee came together about twenty years ago in order to revive the community bonfire night that had existed some years previously. It was felt that it should be as much about local families, friends and neighbours meeting up with each other as that of the visual aspects of bonfire and fireworks.
We aim to provide a roaring bonfire and good quality fireworks along with appropriate refreshments. The Committee, (a sub-committee of Llanarmon-yn-Ial community council) apart from gate money taken on the night itself, holds several fund-raising events during the year to pay for the fireworks. These monies are then lodged with the Community Council to pay for the fireworks thus ordered. We are always on the lookout for more people to join the half dozen on the committee, and to help with fund-raising. Our fund-raising events usually consist of two coffee mornings in Mold, a stall at the Llanarmon Show and a car-boot sale or two.
